Music: |
The groove is cool and the melodies in the instruments are too. The vocal melody is a little mannered, which drags the energy a bit. One thing you could consider is another instrument, specifically one that plays counterpoint melodies to the existing guitar. This would broaden the music and put less pressure on the vocal for anything more than attitude. |

Lyrics: |
It's hard to say what these lyrics are about, which could be a good thing or a bad thing. If you're being ironic and writing about, say, your drug habit, then this is wry like Steely Dan. But if you're really sincere, then the reasons for your jubilation are unclear. Can these words make fists pump? |

Arrangement &
Production: |
Your production and mix are very good. The arrangement is kind of stock, but you push it through with enough energy to make it work. Kind of like a punk psychedilia. As I mentioned above, I think another player will add needed depth to the song and the track. |

Lead Vocal: |
There is an unassuming quality that is appealling in the lead vocal, but the lack of development of the chorus hook really keeps this vocal from rising to the occasion. You need to really rock this on one level or another or it isn't as compelling as the track. Still, it's a pretty solid performance. |

Musicianship: |
The track is almost perfectly realized. The tones, performances, attitude and groove are in great synch. The vocal is more attitude than power, but it still rocks in its' own way. I like the drums especially, swingin' and primitive at the same time. The drum tone does a lot to define the track. Great bass, too. |

Originality: |
Because your put out a brave face, you get some points here. The words are too slight to really push the track over the line, but there is a lot of style to the arrangement. More outrageous vocals and lyrics will add character and that''s what this track needs most. |

Marketability: |
It rocks hard and a publisher could hear it as a good start. Both the record companies and publishers look for performers who write and can promote their own material. You have a sound and a decent song, so you should get some listens if you can roll it live.
